Instructor-led training (ILT) involves an instructor or facilitator. Learning happens through lectures, discussions, demonstrations, and presentations. It is still one of the most effective methods of learning. There are different types of ILT including classroom, one-on-one, workshop, webinar, and seminar. ILT has many benefits including the introduction of a blended learning approach, expert training, social learning among others. Setting up ILT initiatives involves defining objectives, establishing relevance, design and development, and creating a plan. Also, it requires some skills to conduct such training including research and presentation skills.
